It again has been forever since I last posted. I really am no good at this blogging thing. I forget I even have a blog most of the time.
Our life has been a whirlwind since last June. Ellie was born, SEVERE silent reflux began at around 4-5 weeks old. I took off 12 weeks at the beginning of school because Ellie was so high maintenance. We were on multiple meds to help her poor little system until she was 9 months old. Med free for 3 months. Had Ellie's one year birthday party and she was a complete grouch. Two days later, the screaming, arching the back, not sleeping at all, screaming, and more screaming started again. Back on the meds we went for a month. She is cutting her one year molars and it got her little system all messed up. Doctors told us if we can't get her weaned after a month back on the Prevacid, then it's a trip to GI. So far so good.... :)
In addition to all the crazy with Miss Priss, Tyson accepted a new job as the head tennis coach in Granbury. We are so excited about this new job and adventure. My parents live here and we are excited about being super close to relatives. Also, the school colors are purple and gold. Who doesn't want to be PURPLE?!? I am super excited about that :) It's the little things. With this new job and new transition, I will be taking on a new roll of stay at home mom. I am so thrilled to be able to do this.
Maybe with me staying home, I will be better about the blog, but then again, I can't make promises :)

whoa.....
my oh my... life has changed so quickly! And I L-O-V-E it! Sweet Elliott is 4 months old already. It doesn't seem that it has been that long, because time is flying. She is a rolling over machine, chatter box, slobber monster and such a joy.
Everyone who sees her pictures is like "Oh she is such a happy baby" Well, there is some truth to that, because we are either happy or sad. There is very little contentment going on in the stewart house. With her silent reflux, she is either smiling, sleeping or upset. She is a VERY sweet baby, but good baby, no.
We are currently on Prevacid and it has been a Godsend for her reflux. However, she is so high maintenance and we have a lot of support techniques we use to help with this problem.
I went ahead and took my full 12 weeks allotted to me with FMLA. So I am for sure DREADING going back to work on December 2. I am trying to be positive in that I only have to work 3 weeks before Christmas break :). I technically only am working half a year!! YAY!!
Maybe next time I will post pictures..... She is the cutest baby I know, no bias :) HAHAHA!!

Elliott Marie Stewart
Where do I begin.... whew what a day(s).
I went in on tuesday, june 25, for my 39 week appointment and my dr. was wondering how i was still pregnant. I was 90% effaced. So the Doctor stripped my membranes (TMI I know). Tyson was concerned about that and asked if we should just stay in Bryan at his parents just in case she decided to arrive later that day or early morning. Dr said Nope, just go home, and I will see you on Sunday. I was scheduled for induction on Sunday morning (June 30) at 5:30.
We decided to stay the night on Tuesday night in Bryan at the in-laws. The next day we ran some errands and I told tyson,"this baby isn't coming until sunday, I don't feel any different, so lets go home to groesbeck". And that's what we did. We drove back home and got into town around 4 pm Wednesday afternoon.
Wednesday night around 11, the dog started running laps in and out and around our end table in the living room. We both looked at each other, and tyson asked if I was in labor. I laughed and told him no, that I didn't feel any different than I had any other day during my pregnancy. (my pregnancy was fabulous by the way) Our doctor had told us that strange behavior from your pets is a sign that you could be in labor, but I felt NOTHING. Well, at this point in my pregnancy I was sleeping in the comfy guest bed, because our temper-pedic mattress had no give for me to turn over. Around 2 am, i started feeling uncomfortable and was having pain in my lower back that would move around to the front and feel like cramping. I wrote down the time thinking "maybe that's a contraction". Then i went to the bathroom about what felt like 8,000 times. Then 20 minutes later another "back pain cramp". I get up and go tell tyson what i think is going on. He was very calm as was I and I told him to go back to sleep, that I was going to continue to time them. Dr. told us contractions every 20 minutes for an hour, to get on the road and come on in. Well 18 minutes another one hit. I go get Tyson and he gets dressed. We sit and wait for another one and 18 minutes later, there it was. We load up and hit the road, its 3am. I call my parents (3 hours away) to let them know to head to Bryan.
We get in the car and 6 minutes into our drive I have a contraction, then another 6 minutes later. Tyson drove the car like he stole it. We made it to bryan by 3:45. Normally takes an hour and fifteen minutes.
By the time we reach the hospital the contractions are 5 minutes apart. I get checked in and taken to an ER room. The nurse asks a million questions, hooks me up to monitors, checks me (I'm at a 5) and says "You are not going home tonight". They move me to a Labor and Delivery room and ANOTHER nurse is there and asks me the exact same questions plus some. During this time my contractions are getting closer together. At 5:30 the anesthesiologist arrives to give me an epidural. FINALLY. At this point my contractions are 2-3 minutes apart and I am in sooooo much pain. I am contracting so hard I am unable to bend very far for him to put in the epidural. He had to do it twice. Mind you, i felt nothing because my contractions were coming so hard and so fast. Once the epidural was in , 6:00 am, it took 20 minutes for some relief. The nurse checked me, said You are at a 9!! I bet we don't make it until 7!! I was pumped.
However, little did I know, that if they would have checked me again before the anesthesiologist arrived I would not have received an epidural because I was progressing super fast.
At 7 am, they had a shift change and yet another nurse came in. They asked me the SAME EXACT questions again for the 3rd time. Also, during the crazy contractions back at 5 am, I had signed my life away. St. Josephs is a teaching hospital and I consented to them being in my room. It was like a circus.... the dr,. the rn, student nurse, student dr, my mom, tyson, and random people in and out.
That epidural brought my labor to a screeching HALT. I did not move again, my water never broke. At 8 am, my dr came in and checked me and said i was at a 9.5. GREAT...in 2 hours I had moved a whole .5 cm. She came back at 9 and broke my water. I then finally moved to a 10 at 10 and the nurses had me start pushing. I pushed for over 2 hours before our precious baby arrived.
12:19 pm, 6lbs, 12 oz and 19.5 inches long and a head full of RED HAIR. She was here and she was healthy.

Time Flies...
It has been a VERY long time since I sat down to blog... the time... where does it go?
Our sweet baby girl, Elliott Marie, is already 12 weeks old. I cannot believe it! She is such a joy and I cannot remember what I did before she was born. I will have to go back and blog about our birth journey before I completely forget it all!! You know, with the whole sleep deprivation thing, my memory is shot.
School is back in session. I went and worked the first week of school and then took 6 weeks of extended medical leave to take care of our baby girl. She has SEVERE silent acid reflux and requires a lot of hands on attention. I didn't feel comfortable leaving her with someone with her not "well". In the meantime, it is getting better and I am absolutely loving staying at home with her. It is going to be extremely difficult to go back to work.
Tyson's tennis season is in full swing. He is super busy as always!! He is also a bottle making machine!! I think it's his true calling in life!! HAHA :)

Well, Well, Well.....
I know it comes as a shock that I haven't written in MONTHS!! :)
It is tennis season in the Stewart Household and the husband is SUPER busy... with him getting new courts at the high school, he has to travel everywhere until they are done. So, he is traveling 3 days a week with Junior High, JV and Varsity. BUSY BUSY BUSY!!
In other news, SURPRISE we are having a baby!! I know this about knocked everyone I know off their seat because we said we would not have kids. The whole being responsible for someone else's well-being and all that other stuff parenting entails was not for us.... but alas, we are jumping on the parent wagon!! Baby Stewie is due July 1st. I have felt absolutely FABULOUS the entire time. No sickness at all!! I will be 19 weeks tomorrow and we will find out the gender on February 22 per baby's cooperation!! All of the fun little old wives tales say that we are having a boy...so we will see if they are correct in just a couple weeks!! It is an exciting and overwhelming time for us!! I am growing everyday!! It is a very neat experience. This will be grandbaby #3 for my parents and grandbaby #4 for tyson's parents.
Lots of excitement around here!!!

GEEZ LOUISE....
I am not a good blogger... actually I am HORRIBLE!! I get on here all the time and read what everyone else is up to, but don't take the time to do it myself...
Life is crazy as Fall tennis is finishing up for Tyson and football season is winding down. Being involved in small town america has been an adjustment and a blast. We have been attending all the Groesbeck Football games, both in and out of town. I have loved every minute of it. Goat Football is continuing into the playoffs this week. We play Jasper on Friday. We will be making the trek to Crockett to watch some football action!!
Aggie Football... i mean what else can i say but WHOOP!!! How 'bout them ags?!?! SO glad we have had a successful first year in the SEC. We have enjoyed attending the A&M games this season too. Our seats have been fabulous thanks to THSCA.
In great news...my sister just had her baby last Wednesday. Another little girl to love on! Chayse Marie is here and healthy. And she is absolutely precious I might add, even though I may be a little partial :)
This Saturday, the 17th, Tyson and I will be married 5 years!! Can you believe it?? It has gone so quickly. WOW!!! YAY for anniversaries!!
And we all know that i won't be on here again for a good while, so Happy Thanksgiving and everyone have a very Merry Christmas!!!

24 days....
I DID IT!!! the Advocare 24 day challenge.....
I decided to give it a whirl when I saw my friend, Larry Hooper's results on facebook. I was like, "okay this really does work, might as well give it a try". and I am SOOO Glad I did. I lost 13lbs and 11 inches. I am more excited about the inches than the weight. To me, weight is just a number and I want to wear a certain sized clothes so the inches matter most. :)
I loved doing this so much, that I still continue with the Advocare products. I even have become a distributor because I want to continue it and get the discounts!! :)
If you want to try anything let me know, because I could rattle on and on about all this!!!

Wow....how awful...
It has been almost a year since I posted....I get on here all the time and read other's blogs, but don't write my own.....guess that is what happens for this teacher. No time until summer starts. Well, summer isn't here just yet, but it will be in 8 school days, but who is counting? :)
Alot has happened this year, and especially in the last few months. Tyson's boss in Groesbeck is retiring after coaching here for 36 years. What a proud accomplishment for Jim!! Since he is retiring, Tyson is the new HEAD tennis coach at Groesbeck High School! I am SO VERY PROUD of him. This is what he has been wanting. Groesbeck has been to the state tennis tournament for the past 24 years, and Tyson is hoping to keep the streak alive. In other good news, I am going to be changing jobs, and will be teaching third grade in GROESBECK next year!! YAY!! So excited to be working in the same town we live in. It is a great district, and just 3 minutes from the house...WHOOP!!
Speaking of houses, now that we will be a more permanent fixture here in Groesbeck, we are in the great debate over what to do about housing. Rent or buy/build? Rent or buy/build?.....*SIGH*
In other good news, we are surrounded by lots of our friends having babies!! It is so fun to be a part of this part of their lives. What blessings!! Tyson's friends Lauren and Tod, (Tyson's boss' daughter), just had their frist child, baby boy CJ (Courtney James, named after her sister who was killed over a year ago) just 4 days ago! He is Tyson's Godson. We are so very proud and he is perfect!! and the list just continues......... Our friends Josh and Jenny, just had baby #2 in May, his name is Owen!! LOVE this name! I think it is so precious! Matt and Jessi are having baby girl Aevin in July! Cody and Allison are having baby boy C in August/September. But most exciting (no offense anyone else) is that my sister and her hubby are going to welcome baby #2 in November!!!! WHOOP!! I am so excited to be getting another niece/nephew! I just love babies!!!
We are just so thankful and blessed by the opportunities being given to us!! I am really getting back into the swing of living in the small town!!

I'm Horrible at this...
I am a horrible blogger... I do not take the time to write about me, but I do enjoy reading about others. Maybe it is because nothing exciting is going on to really write about...
I completed my first year of teaching and boy was it challenging. I am enjoying my first summer off in YEARS and feel like I earned every day off!! :) School start backs in just a few weeks...booooo!!
Tyson's tennis season was great in Groesbeck! They took a doubles team to state. Groesbeck has had someone at the state tennis tourney for the past 20-something years. Needless to say, they do well in tennis!!
We have had a very busy summer so far.... my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary, Destin with my family, tyson's family reunion, tyson's nieces and nephew came for a week to Bryan, visiting my parents and then we are going to San Antonio for some relaxation before we start back to school in August.
We FINALLY sold our house in bryan after 10 months on the market!! YAY!! WHOOP!!! Glad to have that one off the books.
So that is life right now... I will hopefully be better now that this school year will be "easier" than last!!
Until then...DEUCES!!

Starting Over.....and Labor Day
For those of you who don't know.... Tyson and I have moved!! We are renting a home in Groesbeck, Texas. Tyson is the Assistant Tennis coach at Groesbeck High School and I am teaching 3rd grade in Mexia. It has been an adjustment and a challenge. We are really enjoying it though. I think the first time I really was excited about us moving was this past weekend, when it dawned on me that I was not having to work the A&M Football game...it was absolute BLISS!!
But back to the move.... our home is still for sale in Bryan, so if ANYONE knows of ANYONE who needs to buy a home in that area...send them our way. We will cut them a deal :)
This labor day weekend we went to my parents house in Granbury...i love visiting there.... Lori and Tim were there.... and baby Ryan is growing!! Lori's belly would just move...it was awesome to see my little niece moving around!!! I am so excited for her arrival!! She is already spoiled rotten and the is still in the womb... Can't wait for November!!

And I'm back....
Well guys...it's been a LOOOOOOONG time since I have posted on this thing, but maybe I will get back in the habit... i said MAYBE!!
Anyway...news on the homefront...I'M GONNA BE AN AUNT!!! WHOOP!! Lori and Tim are expecting their first baby in November and I am soooo pumped. I'm gonna be the best auntie ever!! I can't wait!! Well, I guess I could be an uncle too... if it's a boy!! :)
In the past 6 months.... we have done, well lots...so I will just start with what is going on now!!
A&M graduation is tomorrow and saturday and of course yours truly has to work it.... lovely! but then its smooth sailing for a while at the bookstore. I hopefully will be getting a new job as I have done my alternative teaching certification and will be applying for teaching jobs. YAY for new adventures!!!!
I am currently on week 7 of couch to 5k and let me tell you...i HATE every minute of it and am very disappointed that I am seeing no results. I need to change my diet more, but when you are running 3 times a week you expect to see some changes in the body... oh well just 3 weeks left of this program and then on to something else.....

Anyway...news on the homefront...I'M GONNA BE AN AUNT!!! WHOOP!! Lori and Tim are expecting their first baby in November and I am soooo pumped. I'm gonna be the best auntie ever!! I can't wait!! Well, I guess I could be an uncle too... if it's a boy!! :)
In the past 6 months.... we have done, well lots...so I will just start with what is going on now!!
A&M graduation is tomorrow and saturday and of course yours truly has to work it.... lovely! but then its smooth sailing for a while at the bookstore. I hopefully will be getting a new job as I have done my alternative teaching certification and will be applying for teaching jobs. YAY for new adventures!!!!
I am currently on week 7 of couch to 5k and let me tell you...i HATE every minute of it and am very disappointed that I am seeing no results. I need to change my diet more, but when you are running 3 times a week you expect to see some changes in the body... oh well just 3 weeks left of this program and then on to something else.....

Where to start.....
Well, it's been a while since I have blogged and alot has gone on these past few months.... In July I was in my dear friend Lindi's wedding in Lockney, Texas. For those of you who don't know where Lockney is, well you aren't missing much.... HAHA :) It is a very small west Texas town, north of Lubbock....

Work is busy and football is well under way at this point. I had to work the Arkansas game at the new cowboy stadium. The place is just ridiculous. Even though I had to work, I did have the opportunity to go to the game. Sad that we lost, but our seats were fabulous!! Thank you A.J.

We only have 3 more football games to go!! I can hardly contain myself!! I hate football season at the bookstore...it is very draining. However, I am looking forward to my First thanksgiving with the Stewart/Matous family. Tyson and I got married so close to thanksgiving that our honeymoon went through thanksgiving. Last year we had turkey day with my parents....so this will be a first holiday for me with his family. I am in charge of dessert!!! and everyone knows how much i LOVE to bake!! YUM!! :)
Speaking of work... we are dressing up for halloween on Friday since we can't on saturday due to game day uniforms..... Me and 2 other managers are going as "Totally 80's".... i will post pics so everyone can see just how FABULOUS we look!!

On a Hiatus....
As you can tell I have definitely been on a blogging hiatus. We have been ridiculously busy these past few months....
I am once again a tennis widow... 6 weeks of A&M tennis camp. However, we are already on week 5, only 1 to go before the hubby is back.
We have been quite the world travelers these past few weeks. My parents took us to hawaii for their 30th wedding anniversary. We had a great time. Maui was absolutely gorgeous.

I am off this next weekend to be a bridesmaid in my friend Lindi's wedding in Lockney, Texas. It is the last big thing we/I have to do this summer. Looking forward to her big day and also looking forward to some relaxation time.....

This was the view from our condo The weekend after we returned from Maui, was Tyson's family reunion in Temple, as well as, his friend Matt's "back home" wedding reception in Bryan. We were able to make both events. Then the next weekend was July 4th. I love July 4th in Granbury. It was brutally hot, but so fun! I enjoy going to the square with my mom and sister, laying out, the lake, the fireworks.
Finally, this past weekend, we were in sunny San Diego California. Absolutely gorgeous. The high temperature was around 72 and it was really chilly at night. Beautiful weather. Tyson's best friend since they were 5 got married on Coronado Island at the Coronado Cays Yacht Club. The view was beautiful. We had a great time visiting with all of tyson's friends.

ALOHA!!
My parents are taking me, tyson, my sister and brother in law to Hawaii this summer. We leave June 14th and get back June 20th. I am super excited, but also a bit anxious and nervous. I am not the best traveler. Flying is not my forte. I have control issues i think :)....
Anyway, we are staying at the Whaler in Kaanapali in Maui. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do and not do PLEASE let us know!!

Lately......
So, it has been quite a while since we last posted. Guess I just haven't had that much to say! SHOCKER!!!
I have been tanning pretty regularly for a few weeks and am FINALLY starting to see some color. ( I know how bad it is for me, but i am soooo white). The deal Tyson made with me with tanning was that for every time I tanned I am supposed to work out. Well I haven't held up both ends of the bargain! OOPS!!! I have to get my rear in gear with the whole workout thing. I have a wedding to be in in July and I need to be fit!!! :)
So here is to tanning, being healthy and getting fit!!!

Babies....
Not ours though.....
It seems like everyone around me is either pregnant or just had a baby. Two girls at work are pregnant. Tiffany is expecting her first child in April. She is 6 weeks away from having her baby boy. It seems like she just told us yesterday about being pregnant. It went by fast! Then the Assistant Mgr is pregnant with her 3rd. 2 boys at home and is having her first girl!! How Exciting!!!
The sister in law, Paula, is preggers with her 3rd. SURPRISE!!! Haley will be 5 in March, Lily will turn 1 in April and baby 3 will be here in August. Sure wish they lived closer so we could play!!
My sister's sister in law, Holly, just found out she is having a girl. Little boy at home and now a pink bundle of joy in July.
BABIES EVERYWHERE!!!!
Now, I am waiting for my sister to decide its time to have a baby..I think I will be waiting for a while!!
As for Tyson and I having a baby..... yeah we aren't ready for that yet. Is it bad that we don't have a desire to have kids, especially anytime soon? *sigh*

25 random things
I already completed this on facebook, but decided I would redo/change it up on the blog... so here we go...
1. I am an organizer. I like for things to be in order so that if I am not there to find something, anyone can find it.
2. I LOVE to bake....cooking is another story
3. I have the best family a person could ask for. I am very lucky
4. I evidently like earth tones these days...hence the colors of browns in my house
5. Building a house was one of the worst and most stressful times of my life
6. I love candles that smell like baked goodies. For example, Yankee Candles like buttercream, christmas cooke, etc.
7. I like to be pampered...manicures and pedicures are my friends
8. I finally caved and we got a dog. It took tyson a year to convince me, but I knew it was just a matter of time before he came home with a pet.
9. I wish I was better at staying in contact with my friends that live far away.
10. I wish my sister and parents lived closer
11. I hope my sister and tim have a baby soon (wishful thinking I'm sure)
12. I want to own my own bakery one day...refer to # 2
13. I love to read people's blogs... it helps keep me informed on what is going on in the lives of people i know
14. I have the greatest husband a person could ask for... he puts up with my antics and loves me anyway
15. I wish i was more motivated to work out and get back in shape
16. I love sports....college especially.
17. I love living back in Aggieland. It is so fun to be back!
18. I hate cleaning...i like a tidy house, but despise cleaning
19. I sell southern living..... my house looks like it exploded in it
20. I love shoes... all kinds.... im not biased.
21. I hate the grocery store.... i will put off going until i absolutely have to. I dont know exactly what it is, but I hate it...oh and walmart too
22. I wish I knew exactly what my calling is in life
23. I haven't had a soda since January 1, 2009. 1 month and counting!! YAY!
24. I love the fact that birthday is ALWAYS during spring break
25. I Love my husband.... he is an amazing man!!

Update...
Just a quick update from the Stewarts...
We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year with both families. We are blessed. We went to Temple for Tyson's side and Granbury for my side. We had a great time being with family.
Sully has grown soooo much and goes for his 3rd set of shots tomorrow...YAY for growing up! AND he is just sooooo cute!
Back up a bit to right before Christmas. Tyson flew to Atlanta Georgia for his good friend Lance's wedding in South Carolina. He had a great time getting to see all his "man friends".
And Lance's wedding is just the beginning.... Tyson's childhood friend Jeff is getting married in 2 weeks and he's a groomsman. His other childhood friend, Chad, is getting married July 11 in San Diego (YAY for being in this wedding). Then my friend Lindi is getting married July 18th in Lockney, Texas.... Lots of traveling in the future! We are busy bees...
As for the new year... we spent NYE at home.... it was very relaxing. I enjoy being at home.

In need of prayer.....
Right now as I write I think of how lucky and blessed we are... we have jobs, a home, family and so much more that we take for granted... So much we don't even realize...
I don't know this man personally, but I do know his cousin Allison Hanna and his extended family, Jennifer Manley Richard... Their family is hurting right now..... their cousin, son, husband, Brad Wims is very sick.... You can read the latest at http://thewims.blogspot.com/
I have cried many a tear and said many a prayer on this young man's behalf. He is so strong..his wife.... wow, what a woman. She is such a woman of faith. I ask you all who read this to please please pray for this family...for Brad's comfort, for strength in this tough time.
